What do rich countries do?
Kenyans believe in Saccos too much. I’ve bought my land cash, built by cash. Also bought a car by cash. Credit should be avoided at all cost.

Actually Saccos are also known as Credit Unions. In Kenya, the best ones are Stima Sacco, Police Sacco and Mwalimu Sacco.

People who operate on credit tend to have poor planning habits and atrocious impulse control, so being in debt is the only way to keep them financially responsible.
Capitalism exploits this shocking lack of logic very effectively indeed.

Wacha theories zenye ulisoma in antiquated books. Ile mbaya Ni kukopa for consumption. It is practically impossible to get ahead without the leverage of debt. Basically using other people’s money to get ahead. Hata Safaricom wamekopa juzi.
