Ruto has killed many functioning things since he came into power. This has really disappointed many patriotic Kenyans. But there’s one thing I am looking forward to him killing it. The bonoko thing that we call devolution. It has only created a cash cow for governors and their friends and family. I hope he kills it completely by the time he gets out of power. Then from there we should set up a real committee to distribute and oversee development in all parts of the country. This bonoko should go

If he kills counties, clowns with demented thinking like gachagua who feels the country belongs to “shareholders” will ensure those who don’t vote for them get nothing despite paying taxes like everyone else.
Those counties were meant to reduce such shallow-minded leadership which will deny particular regions resources then start telling people from those counties that their leaders are not helping them develop as if they pay taxes to those leaders and not the government.

Until we admit it that Devolution has killed our broader economy, Kenya will never progress.It would be ok if there was zero corruption but hapa Kenya no one is willing to fight it because they believe one day they will benefit from it.
It will take a millennium to cleanse the country from corruption

Such a huge percentage of national revenue is going to total wastage.
First he should have started na CDF, itumwe kwa ministry kwenye accountability ni rahisi.
Counties should generate their own revenue to run their stuff independently kama parastatals. Why is Nairobi given money na ina collect 1B daily?
National Gava owes counties no sheet, otherwise they should be sending national gava kakitu like parastatals.

Better many officials waibe than a few tribesmen at the top like during one party rule , where almost nothing trickled down to the hoi hoi.

Huku Kenya, the president’s tribe will take the most rewarding posts, and most jobs, repatriate most funds to their causes, steal within their ranks and invest within their counties, favour their tribe in almost everything, and then will be shouting at the rest of you, telling you how you are not as hardworking! Kenya collects revenue and allocates Approx 400bn to counties,a significant percentage of total revenue.Goveners on the other hand steal ,(40 countiesx5bn each = 200bn) which they stash outside the country cutting down cash flows.They don’t pay contractors,drugs for hospitals etc .
