In Uganda, a liter of petrol is the equivalent of 60 shs; thanks to their oil reserves
.
Rather than buy petrol in the Middle East and ship it, why can’t Ruto lower the cost of this commodity by simply importing from Uganda. Our bilateral trade is so immense, oil imports could even be paid for in kind. Kenyan men are already crazy about Baganda and (Rwandese) Ikuss, and negotiations will be really cordial
In addition, Ruto and Museveni get along seriously well and the SGR could be extended to western Uganda to facilitate oil imports. A side benefit of this move would be opening up Eastern DRC
Uganda: The price of petrol is 4999 Uganda Shilling per liter. For comparison, the average price of petrol in the world for this period is 4863.51 Uganda Shillings.
