Building churches is not Nation-building.
Build the Nation, and the citizens will build the churches, houses, etc.
At this point, they should be building the Rice and Fishing industry. Freshwater Fishing and Aquaculture, extensive rice production(especially in the red rice varieties) and Agro-Processing factories. This would enable the country to reduce the import of low-quality rice and fish.
Ksh 20 million is sufficient to initiate the pilot project for the red rice variety. Nyanza meets ALL the conditions to grow this high-value, nutritious rice variety.
Good brothers and sisters in Nyanza, don’t be misled by the attention in Nyanza; you’ve seen it before in CTRL. Learn fast …., a few people will pocket millions/billions.
Why is every county and subcounty being promised a stadium? Is that a priority? The cost of one stadium could fund some dams and several inaccessible critical feeder roads.
River Nyando – this one has a significant flow and gradient, making it suitable for hydropower projects.
River Awach – this one flows through Kisumu County and has a consistent flow. It also has hydropower potential.

We need to go back to the basics, and in most cases it is just the provision of water! Majority of Kenya needs sufficient reliable water and you will see great transformation. Religion has been used in Africa to manage the masses - the congregants identify with the church leaders not knowing that the Bishops and Reverends are in bed with the politicians! More so in the old established churches. That Cathedral has been built for ages! The church density in Kenya is ridiculous, we would have been very advanced and enlightened if the church was really out to help people.
Siaya has several rivers but it is food deficient and generally poverty stricken - people undertake subsistence rain-fed farming and wait for months old cabbages from Kimilili or from Nyandarua!
This is replicated across Kenya. Take a tour of Ukambani during the rain season, it is paradise on earth.
