The Sh8 billion ultra-modern tourism university, to be known as Ronald Ngala Utalii College, will be set up at Vipingo, Kilifi County on 60 acres of land belonging to the Ministry of Tourism.

Rea Vipingo donated the land for the project fully funded by the Kenyan taxpayer.

Upon completion in five years, the facility will boast world-class services that include a 500-bed, five-star, beach hotel, a level five hospital and learning institutions for nursery, primary and secondary school levels for the community.

The beach hotel will be managed on the model of Utalii Hotel.

Other features depicted by the model, include sporting facilities, swimming , housing facilities that include two and three bed room flats, and mansions for the institution’s staff.

The construction of the college is being undertaken by the Tourism Fund, formerly the Catering Tourism and Development Levy Trustees.
