It’s a very very painful experience; I personally lost hope on his recovery Wednesday night after tests showed no activity in his brain, heart and lungs after several days in the ICU. He pretty much died a week ago. He was a legend, a successful musician and actor, no matter what hatters say. He wasn’t a saint, but over the years he has admitted to the bad things that he did and asked for forgiveness. Most importantly, he had a lot of love for God, and he has touched a lot of people through his ministry.
Drug addiction is a serious medical condition and he tried really hard to turn his life around. God gave him multiple chances in life and he was really thankful for that.
I’m really still in shock. I knew that he had a very slim chance, but I still had some hope. The only positive things I’d probably saw in all of this is the great love that people had for him. People from all races and of all ages. Millions of people have been praying for him and celebrating his life online since he overdosed. It’s hard to experience that kind of genuine love for many rap musicians. But, X was more than just a musician. A lot of people liked him because he was real, and wasn’t ashamed talking about his failures and his addiction. He had given hope and encouragement to a lot of people who have gone through similar struggles.
May the Lord rest his soul in peace.

Anyone else waiting to hear a tribute from these two clowns- JayZ and Puff Daddy? IMO they should just keep quiet because they let X down when he needed them most.

R.i.p dmx…be at peace brotha.
The industry needs to change its enabling of artists with mental health & drug addictions. It may not create the issue but it damn sure facilitates it as long as the artist is making money, people will look the other way. It’s predatory.
Rest in Peace DMX
