RICH KIDS!!

Kapsaa.
And, “You gonna eat that?” is heard quite often at the table.
Visited with some Belgians and saw how rudely they take it when your plate is not cleaned properly. Not a morsel remains.

I remember a story by a teacher buddy of mine who teaches in one of Mombasa’s international schools of a kid… girl actually, who used to wear an original Rolex watch to school. One day she got into a confrontation with a teacher, and told the teacher her watch alone could feed him and his family for 2 years.

My friend wacha kutishwa na vitu vidogo sana. What is 100k or a Prado? Nothing to see here. Do you know who Paul Ngei (Simba) or Matiba were in their hey days? How did they end up? Many others have come and gone. Hii dunia haina huruma na mtu. Aliye juu mgoje chini. Unfortunately, that kids’ pride and arrogance will be his undoing.

Hao ndiyo wakiachiwa mali wanaimaliza in one generation. Wengine ni kupelekana na their siblings kortini.

Hmmmm…he sasa kama mum yangu ako busy akiitania jumuiya kwetu kabla ya kupropel mascandal za billions…no wonder sikua rich kido_O

You are missing the point…100k is pocket change…hata kwa hustlers hapa…issue ni prado 2013. I know some successful agemates…25 years…100k cash sio ngumu kupata, and most of them are actually programmers as you say…but hawaendeshi prado 2013…ni subaru guys and team toyos

Kuna vitu mnafaa mjue by now…there are two classes of people in Kenya…those worth 200 million plus…and others. Wengi tuko others. Those with a networth of over 200 million are politicians, high ranking government officials and successful businessmen. How do you expect their kids to live? Three years ago, my best friend was a son of a traffic police boss. The guy would have at least 50k in his pocket at any given time. As someone has said here, these parents compensate for their absence with cash. Hapo ndipo nilionea imported weed from Netherlands (wachana na hii fangi inauzwa kwa garage)…that one actually comes in bags unaroll mwenyewe. He was in USIU, na hapo ndipo aliniambia rich kids hukuwa. The fact that there is a market for hard drugs like cocaine, na sio wazee wanatumia, should ring a bell. I was 22 yrs then, I would get the girls, he would get the cash…and had a good car.

From around 2002 I was working for a man who was well connected at the time in government circles and used to win a lot of tenders.
He had spoilt his son rotten with money, cars and regular holidays to the US, Britain and other popular destinations. I remember the son used to drive himself to school well before he turned 18 with a driver assigned to him just in case something went wrong.
As usually happens to guys from certain regions in this country, the man mainly invested in high end cars and a lavish lifestyle. Apart from a home he has in Langata, he and his formerly spoilt son are currently living a miserable life after his contacts were kicked out of government when Jubilee came to power. I was shocked just the other week on hearing that the son is currently using public transport after the cars were sold to offset huge bank loans.
Invest wisely when you have the time and the money.

I now understand why it is paramount that one invests in real estate and when you can afford it. Unlike businesses where going bankrupt is the order of the day, real estate can last a lifetime.

There is nothing wrong being a ‘‘rich kid’’ as long as you leverage the advantages you have at your disposal (money and connections) so you can be richer than your parents and you have safety nets because you might not be rich forever (ie investments and saving).

Another thing is learning from your parents at a young age how to be rich on your own. ie asking them to teach you how to fish rather than relying on hand outs

Read somewhere…respect money n money will respect you back.

That’s why unaona watu kama Mike Tyson & Allen Iverson not doing as well despite the fortune they made in their younger years. Compare that to Warren buffet who was reported to have been driving a 6 year old Cadillac. Probably cheaper than hiyo Prado.

I think parenting falls under relationships. Ama ulikuwa unataka nieke forum ya motoring juu ya hiyo Prado 2013? Hii section si ya nudes na story za kukamuana pekee.
