What’s common denominator?
-allies in war against terror
-staunch western allies
-failed states
-growing chinese domination through debt and new military outpost
-terror hotbeds
How is Ethiopia a terror hotbed(same to Djibouti)???Chad is hardly an American ally.It is closer to France than to the US. The only common denominator in all of them is the War on Terror and nothing else.
Nigeria has oil.
Chad had oil and an unresolved Exxon deal.
Kenya has oil but location on the map is our main draw.
Djibouti is not really a country.
Ethiopia is massive and teetering.
He visited Djibouti because Chinese are setting their first military base in Djibouti. There is a fear that the Djibouti government will leaae the Djibouti port to Chinese government which might hinder the operations of the American military base in the horn of Africa
Nigeria has always provided America with oil but they provide a tiny percentage.Venezuela is more important than Nigeria.
Chad does not provide the US with oil.The Exxon dispute was settled last year.All of Chad’s oil goes to China ,even from Exxon.
Our oil is of no interest to the United States.
It is not being mined by an American firm nor will the US ever buy our oil.China,India and Japan will,but not the United States.
All of you do realise the US now produces most of its oil and is on the path to being a net oil exporter by 2027 right???It already exports some grades of oil as of 2015!!!
