Resetlling Flood Victims

Plans by the Kenya Water Towers Agency to Degazette sections of Embobut Forest in Cherenganyi Hills to resettle Families affected by the floods and landslides. the forest is a key source of water fro local residence and the country at large and this move will be a threat not only to the source of water but also the efforts put in place to remove those who were already living in the Forest.
with the elections just around the corner, I don’t think anyone will be in a hurry to relocate the families out of the forest and this might be done maybe in 2024 when things have settled and by then the families will feel entitled to the land and want compensation to move out.
we have to employ better measures to tackling disasters not one-day relocating people out of the forest and the next day relocating people back to the forest. (also avoid talks of the world is overpopulated and not able to feed or water itself)
