Reminiscing

We all come from different places. With different tales of our footsteps from whence we came. Tampered by time and life’s curveballs.

More often than not, we run into our (lost) friends and acquaintances from the past and it gives us that urge to want to reminisce. To catch up. What would have been of the past, present and future. Akin to the butterfly effect. Sometimes it just has to strike as that epiphany. A distance memory in the past and you have to move on. Inspired by the great memories your shared and accept that you’re in a different station in your life. Most, if, many have heard of pals that retort, “ati amefika, sasa anaringa”.

You cannot take everyone with you when you get to that next station. The stakes are higher. The expectations too. To whom much is given, much is expected. Remember reading that somewhere. It seems like an oxymoron to the aforementioned.

My ol’ man always gave me and my siblings the advise, “Your current situation is a result of the choices you’ve made. So always choose wisely”.

The Maribe - Jowie - Monica saga falls in this realm . What a tragedy. Choices made. They will be reminiscing. Only if

Only if kazi yako sio ya kuosha tunyanye tungekusikiza

I hope ulijanyakualia kamoja…this country need the money you guys send back home mkiwa wengi pesa inaongezeka.

THIS! Saa hizo ata hujaringa. Si uchawi ni maombi.

Nyinyi uzeni chipo na kuosha tunyanye polepole

The ombaomba culture in Kenya is to blame, this occurs ukinyima watu pesa, the lazy folks that lounge in centres and live on mooching from others.

The Maribe- Jowie- Monica saga is not about choices but deception.

It is too much. @FieldMarshal CouchP kam kiasi. Don’t mind lending a hand, lakini imekuwa too much.

How do you guys deal with the lack of urgency in Kenya after living in Trumpistan for so long? Does your blood pressures rise as you’re coping with the slow pace of things?

It’s frustrating. But what to do. Ni nyumbani bana. The worst part is that there is so much potential in Kenya if only we had the right leadership to steer things in the right direction. There is a lot of money to be made in Kenya for everyone.

 in Kenya we don’t respect time. I was talking to some “Kenyans” born and raised in UK I met at their cousin’s wedding and they were very interested in how everything was hours late at the wedding. They kept looking at their watches na mimi I’m just laughing at the chaos. To them the wedding was having “some problems” a polite way of saying it was a fail. Sisi locals we considered it a success because the goal of the wedding was achieved. We live worlds apart I tell you.

Huonangi hata @Mrs Shosho huwa anaset masaa ya kuingia Ktalk, masaa ya kuchambua replies na zingine anaziweka on hold ati atareply baadaye.

But this observation works even with different towns here in the country. Ukizoea maisha chapchap ya Nairobi you get impatient with the slow pace of things in other places. Every time nikienda Nakuru huwa nashangaa sana naona watu hawajali time ikisonga

Aiii sasa umeniita itabidii nisome hii yote? a quick scroll nimeona sis hapa…naona alifika salama salimini. @Purple
