Registrar of Companies

Had applied for a CR12 form about 4 weeks ago through a friend of mine who paid the fee and brought me the receipt. Today I went to collect it lakini ile ofisi bana they really need to get with the times!!! People sit on wooden BENCHES and move in turn mpaka wafikiwe, then the attendant goes through some files only for her to tell me, bado haijatoka!!! Can’t they invest in technology like the system they now have in banks where you get a print out and not have to queue on wooden benches, and they should get better seats and air con system.
Secondly, what’s so damn difficult about having those CR12 and other forms in soft copy that they can just email them out, will be much much easier and faster to search for them and email to whoever needs that info and saving on paper. The registrar needs to embrace technology and some sense of service to the people.

just go kwa cyber utengeneze ya kutumia at the moment kama kuna biz imeiva.

Why is “Tena” sold At a different price from “nice n soft”?

we dont know what you are talking about. What is a bench?
we tell our lawyers what company we want to set up, sign a paper and give money. 2wks later we get certificate of incorporation.
ati bench…meffi wewe

Cheki maneno niaje?!!

Si wewe ni mujinga wa kupindukia, nimesema CR12 form ya kampuni fulani, sio kuregister kampuni, meffi learn to read

Its some info I want, yani they write you a receipt by pen thag you need to keep on presenting anytime you want that form, IN THE YEAR 2016, Jameni its unbelievable

Huh? @Liberty umenunua bike? @spear can one walk kwa ofici ya regustrar and pitch biashara ya kumodernize huko, its so fucking inefficient mpaka inaudhi

#JustAsking a blond question!!!

If I register a Business Name, can someone else somewhere register the same exact name as a company name??

Ever heard of huduma centres.

the reason you pay for a search before your co. is registered is to ensure the name is not taken.

Ndio wewe ni mjinga mwiissssiiii gio. Kwa hio ofisi najua mkia ilikua katikati ya miguu alafu unaleta kelele apa, unaona registrar of companies Ktalk? Jinga amka kesho asubuhi uende uwaambie hii upus umeandika apa. chieth

No.

Not sure, but I am sure if they put the registration system online, should be able to find out in a second if the name is taken not having to wait for sijui how many days

Thought it was just incorporation certs that can be picked from there? They haven’t written anything about Huduma on the CR12 counter

Sasa wewe,…watoto wa university wako na ujinga mingi sana

The registration of businesses in Kenya has been made easier and faster. For one, a name search will be instant. Also, the registration of companies can also now be easily done by individuals. Previously individuals needed to go through lawyers to register a company which is now not necessary. However in the event that you need any help in registering your business, check out BrianTony International Consultants. They will be happy to assist at a reasonable price.

Also, registration of businesses is now being done at the GPO and City Square Huduma Centres. Below is the new registration process for companies, sole proprietorships and partnerships.

A. Companies

 1. Name search and reservation. The name search and reservation process can be done at any Huduma Centre countrywide, online using the E-Citizen platform and on a Safaricom phone by dialing *271#.
 2. Fill company registration form CR1 (Download HERE).
 3. Provide a company memorandum. You can prepare your own or modify one that one can be downloadedHERE.
 4. A copy of national I.D. card/passport, KRA PIN certificate and recent coloured passport photograph of each director and the company secretary. One of the directors had to be registered on the iTax platform. Directors who provide passport copies should also indicate issuing country, place and date of issue.
 5. Company email address.
 6. Fill a notification of directors’ residential address – Form CR8 (Download HERE).
 7. Fill the statement of nominal capital form (Download HERE)
 8. Copy of I.D card of person lodging documents.
 9. Private companies with a paid up capital of Ksh. 5,000,000 are required to have a Company Secretary.

@spear I am talking about a CR12 form, not registration. It contains the list of directors of a registered co and I think you can only get that at the registrar, pay 600 and present the receipt to the counter where it seems to take forever. They present it manually since they flip through files to search for it

Use the agents there. Stop being mean. Pay 2 or 3k and obtain it in two days. Inbox if you need such help.
