The system will only accept the ‘‘newest’’ serial as per the ID records.

Yes you can .The new generation ID serial number supersedes the old one once you get a replacement.

In my case, even with a new generation ID serial number I got the same error. I had to visit ntsa upper hill nikawacha photocopy of ID. I was able to register when I tried a few hours later.

It is not your fault. This happens if you have lost and replaced your ID card. The recent ID serial may not have been updated.
You can do either of the following:

  1. Visit Huduma centre, ask the ID guys to give you the serial numbers of your previous IDs.
  2. Go to NTSA offices, they will clear the error
  3. There are some guys in some cyber cafes who can call someone somewhere and help you register. But this will come at a good fee.

Personally, I used no. 1, and it worked.

Have got a new ID and am trying inserting the new serial number but can’t be recognised.

I visited today huduma center an I was told to go to ntsa,was given , direction to get kra pin plus I’d then they resolve the error but it’s not working need your assistance plz?
