I have a concern with these guys who are so mean to themselves and those close to them. Those that we usually refer to as misers. This is despite the fact that most of these people are well to do persons in the society. A good example is a certain man i knew sometimes back. This guy was a senior civil servant, but he had a phobia of spending money. He would save so much, buy lots of property and assets take courses to advance himself in his career and so on. But this is a guy who could walk daily to and from work, a distance of about 10km. He would even bargain for fruits and vegetables in mama mbogas kiosks and would only drink tea from filthy kibandas. There is another one I know who walks long distances just to save on fare. This particular one even misses lunch just to avoid spending. He even once fainted in town after walking on a very hot day. When taken to hospital, the doctor found that he had a case of malnutrition and dehydration. The irony of the story is that he was found to have 70k in cash at the time he fainted. I even know of another one who is a multimillionaire but in his household, he never buys stuff like sugar, cooking fat, margarine or wheat flour since he considers those to be luxuries. Many other cases abound. Why are some people like this?
They are just trying to lead healthy lifestyles…what you have described above is how to beat lifestyle diseases.
I see it otherwise. Being too hard unto yourself. Why do you have to work so hard and live like a poor person?
@Purple kuna ona wenzako who save 99%
Are you talking about Nam***?
Kumbe hata @Purple ni miser?
Apana.

Wenye hupitia sana ni the families of those guys.Especially if the guys is the sole breadwinner.
I know it sucks. Are you willing to change? There’s a better way, just live simple and don’t rely on stuff to make you happy.
Nikama wengine wanaachia bibi mia moja ndiyo supper na lunch
It’s borderline personality behavior. Schooled with some extremely wealthy kids. They had 3 trousers and shirts from duka ya muhindi. No pocket money whatsoever. So they resorted to creative ways to make money. Dad comes from overseas trips from London , US, etc with goodies. The next day that stuff is on sale at school. Throw away price. You could get all kinds of imported shit in school. Clothes, electronics, candy, etc
No. She will never. Anytime the subject comes up…
Yap. They really go through a hard time!
Huh! Kuna mmoja najua alikuwa anaacha mia alafu bibi akiongea vibaya ananyoroshwa kama drum ya wakorino!
Uliangukia nini kws hizo vitu cheap za abroad?
True, I have set myself a goal to save 70% of my income beginning next month…
