According to the Indian Doctor’s explanation, below is the chronology of events:
~ Baba’s taking a walk and experiences sudden shortness of breath.
~ He collapses. His heart stops. Maurice Ogeta, the bodyguard, begins CPR( cardiopulmonary resuscitation) immediately. His personal Doctor is present, guiding Maurice.
~ He’s rushed to hospital. Maurice is still actively doing CPR. He never stops doing CPR. He’s a well trained Paramedic.
~ Hospital Casualty Dept take over and continue CPR. He’s also not breathing. He’s intubated, rushed to ICU and placed on a Ventilator.
~ ECG shows ST Elevation. Scans show Myocardial Infarction. Clots are blocking blood flow in his heart.
~ They administer an IV medication called TPA (Tissue Plasminogen Activator) that works by dissolving blood clots.
~ Heart starts to pump but stops several times.
~ They continue CPR and IV fluids for 2hrs.
~ Heart never pumps again.
