It signifies the Astrological age that we are in, which is the Pisces (commenced with the bath of Christ), hence the zodiac sign, fish.
If am right, an age lasts for about 2000 yrs, so we are transitioning to the age of Aquarius.
If you watch, NAZI documentaries, they talk much about the preparation of the coming of the new age, i.e the age of Aquarius.
The other notable transition, was when the children of Israel where on exodus, Moses was furious because the Israelite were worshipping the calf/bull, and the age of Taurus had passed.
