Jakom blundered by agreeing to take part in an election he believed was rigged. The stakes were against him. The system is too powerful - that is, assuming he is not part of it.
Now most of the people (with the exception of the Luo) believe in the figures appearing on IEBC screens, whether the figures are true or not. By disagreeing with those figures, Raila looks like a sore loser.
Even international observers have given the election a clean bill. If Raila calls for mass action, he will look bad. He risks ICC, alongside folks like Joho, whom Kenyatta promised to “Nyorosha”. He risks having his people killed in vain. He should just admit that he was duped by Wanjigi, who is actually probably a Kenyatta covert agent (I am not sure of this, just my thought). He should take a long term view to democratization of Kenya. It is a long-term project, really. He has done his best.
Sat down to think that maybe the election was not rigged?
Nasa’s arguments were incoherent. From faking hacking claims, to releasing pathetically cooked numbers. They demanded for Form 34As, they were given.
There probably has never been a cleaner win in any other election in Kenya.
I always wondered. If opinion polls (apart from Ambitho) told Nasa they would lose. If governors were defecting to Jubilee right, left and centre. Which mad man lied to Nasa that victory was guaranteed.
And now that elections are done, go back to your hustle. Kenyatta, although having been in power for the last 5 years, does not give a rat’s ass about you and it will not start in his second term.
WaKenya poleni. But what we should not see in the second term is people complaining about corruption, unemployment, insecurity. You get what you bargained for. Uhuru himself said, “Gai, mnataka nifanye nini”.
We’ll be ok. The whiners will continue to whine. Those who were whining 24/7 didnt vote for Uhuru and will have another 5yrs to whine and cry like you. Ujinga ni kutuambia the alternative was better. Bure kabisa
