Consider 2 people: identical twins. One twin gets rich at 25 and dies at 75. The other twin lives to 100 but is a peasant for his entire life. Now, quantitatively, the second twin has outlived his brother by 25 years. Qualitatively, the first twin has outlived his brother by an unknown number of years. Why? When twin B was busy toiling, twin A was busy partying and ticking off more items on his bucket list. He lived comfortably for 50 years and uncomfortably for 25 years. Twin B lived uncomfortably for the full 100 years holding all other factors constant.
Which one would you rather be? Quality vs Quantity
Nyambura why would leave your twin brother to live like a filthy peasant??

“I’ve never been disliked by someone I’d want to trade places with,” The statement above is a reminder to value the opinions of those you look up to, not those whose actions or lives you would not want to be a part of
enjoy your life in your own best way when you are still young, at least below 40, after that its downhill in all aspects of life, biologically your body starts to slow down, socially you are expected to start preparing for retirement, this is the time cancer starts to show up, if you are unfortunate enough to have been genetically wired for cancer.
In short don’t delay gratification for a tomorrow that will always find you older and tiresome.
With the assumption that the rich twin is the proud owner of a successful business or in a highly lucrative career at a managerial position allowing him to earn more than actual employees doing the trade, rather than nepo trust fund or inheritance; this would mean that for those 50 years of being rich he is actively in a position where a lot of people depend on him for instructions and a lot of responsibility lies in his lap. Being rich my not necessarily be about ease of consumption of “nice things” like a house, car, good schools, socialites, cognacs, etc rather, for me at least, the most part would be maintaining that state so that things don’t go to shit while still being the one in charge.
A poor man only has to feed his kids and buy uniform for free primary education while fighting disease vermin or thieves, and survive, whereas the richer twin has to pay kra, house manager, poliis, side chicks, soja, za macho, black tax, ngwai plug, employees and make sure all of them are fed so that his family can continue enjoying a soft life, all while tryna dodge drug addiction, STDs, bankruptcy, business rivals, new technology, bad financial decisions and lifestyle inflation all trying to drive him into poverty.
So being rich is a lot of work to maintain and it would take far less effort to be poor and just survive with bare minimum in terms of amount of work required. After all, he fucks his wife for free everyday and drinks cheap liquor to be happy and can live in even a mud house paying no rent or kplc, water can be got from community projects run by donors. If you’re rich but haven’t paid yearly fees at brrokhouse, bought chocolates and flowers, listened to your your wife’s empty talk, she can even deny you pussy that night because her mood is off
