Niliwaambia hakuna nchi inayojitambua itanunua kwa rubles
~Poland’s state energy company on Thursday said it would not pay for Russian gas in rubles, becoming the latest to reject Kremlin demands amid unprecedented sanctions on Moscow over its war in Ukraine
At a Group of Seven (G7) press conference in Brussels on Thursday, Scholz said this is because “there are fixed contracts” that specify the payments must be made in euros or dollars “and that’s what counts,”
Idiot Merkel listen to idiots and turned of most of their nuclear power and now Putin has them by the balls , too bad it’s not winter alafu Putin awazimie mafuta !
Think harder. Do they have any options if the seller refuses to accept their currencies? Two, why do you think they are resisting the new arrangement? Three, what weight do you think the fixed contracts carry when Russia’s assets in the West have been frozen against contract stipulations?
The west are hypocrites, they’ve been voiding Russian contracts all month. They confiscated 30 trillion shillings worth of Russian foreign currency reserves and they still expect Russia to have faith in their currencies? Other countries are paying attention.
Tungekua werevu ivi tunachangia apa, vile america niwajinga vile Russia sijui,Kenya tungekua first world country, atuezi jitengenezea ata pikpik but tunajua sana , tunafaa kunyamaza tujiangalilie
They have other options, Germany their biggest partner has already cancelled Nord stream 2 pipeline and is planning to cut russian energy reliance by half at the end of 2022
The reason they won’t do business in ruble is because theyll became trade dependent on Kremlin. Remember ruble isnot dollar which is acceptable worldwide.
Good. Why not cut it down to zero right now? They could source the gas elsewhere and that would be good punishment for Russia.
Wrong. Using the Ruble means its demand will increase, which in turn will strengthen the currency and possibly change the traditional practice of trading in dollars. In other words, this could be the start of the decline of the dollar’s monopoly.
Cutting down to zero will lead to a collapse in their economy, they are doing it in phases as they find new supplies.
Paying in rubles will mean EU countries will have to buy it from Russian Central Bank and remember EU has suctioned that bank. The issue of increasing ruble value is also correct
Read the difference between pipeline and gas tankers first, and then ask yourself why pipeline even exist in the first place.
Then check where countries that could supply gas are located. Then do some research to find out how much it would cost.
Then remind yourself that prices europe paid for russian gas were super friendly and yummy.
Then ask yourself what will be with prices when the biggest supplier is out of market.
And it’s only half of problems.
I think you don’t understand the difference between gas and oil. And the way they are transported. Those are very disparate processes.
And yeah saudi arabia, uae and kenya are almost neighbors comparing to qatar and germany for example.
Juu nchi yako sio developed, pia usichangie economics, don’t pick up a physics book, don’t have a religious opinion. Umeskia? It’s good you have that logic. Now stick to it.
The rest of us that do not confine ourselves to that logic, let us be free to read and research and have opinions on any topic under the earth that we chose to learn about.
