I was in boarding from class 7 and in our school there was ONE boy, boarding alone in class 2 or 3. We used to wonder who his parents are, why they have forsaken him. Hopefully he was a yatima juu hakuna explanation ingine acceptable.

All British monarchs and nearly all prime ministers, aristocrats went to school at Eton, which is a boarding school for boys.
Boarding should start at Form 1.
There should be no boarding. Unless in very special circumstances.
