public toilet charges

A Nairobi resident has moved to court seeking orders to stop authorities from charging members of the public for using public toilet facilities.

The petitioner, Adrian Kamotho Njenga, on Monday sued the Council of Governors (CoG), Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA)and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (Kura) for obstructing the public from using toilet facilities.

He argued that the refusal by the respondents to provide reasonable toilet facilities amounts to serious belligerence to the constitution and the legitimate expectations of the people of Kenya.

“Article 42 entitles every citizen the right to reasonable standards of sanitation and the right to clean and healthy environment,” reads the petition.

He further argued that social-economically disadvantaged citizens are denied access to public toilets on account of inability to raise the charges levied.

Charge ni 50ct. Unaingiza hio 50cent on the slot to your right then it automatically opens. Once in bonyeza button inajifunga. Ndani inakuchezea slow music as u do your business . Once finished u don’t need to flush. It detects u have finished and flushes on it’s own. Once u leave , it automatically closes.

The next mteja can’t enter until a minute or two is over cause during that time the toilet is auto cleaning . Hata ukiwa nje unaskia ikiunguruma ikijisafisha. Very clean btw

Kenya needs such,
