Malaysian car maker amepata soko Kenya. Posta, Irrigation Board, KWFT na wengineo wamezinunua kama hot cakes. Must be cheaper than Japanese Toyotas ukiona zikipiganiw hivi.
Lakini @Ndindu gari ni Volkswagen, doesn’t attract thieves like Toyota Fielder
Those are parastatals and makes their choice depending on the kickbacks ya mkubwa. Kenyans look for reliability when buying a car which also determine the resale value. A car like mitsubishi pajero is more comfy and capable than Prado but kenyans avoid it. It is good to see honda and Mazda are making a come back. European cars are far more capable and comfortable but their engineering is complicated, the price of spares parts isn’t pocket friendly. Another observation I have made is that everybody nowadays want a suv.
Comfy and capable are relative. For instance, simply put, would you Buy a
Toyota Supra or BMW Z4? Same car different tuning
Vitara Brezza or Toyota Urban Cruiser? Same car, different market
Trezia or Ractis…
Mitsubishi built by Nissan, na tunajua maneno ya Nissan na Renault, I would rather even get me a Ford.
