His term was expiring and he had made it known he wouldn’t seek a reappointment. He had also indicated the same to JSC members in 2017 but they leaked it to the public. It has been coming and not a secret. He will go back to teaching as a law professor and his private practice. I will forever remember him for basically teaching ICC judges international law. The judges had very few years of experience on the bench/bar and it showed that day.

Truth be told he was a bit lacklustre, the office needs a more visible person who’s better able to organize government lawyers to win cases or hold their own in court.

I think that the best solution is to eliminate the idea of a preferred judge who clears his diary for specific litigants and subjects. It is plain wrong!

Githu was suffocating. FACT. Githu is a very smart man but he was being used more as a cleanup guy than a government adviser. From his days as a Lecturer, anyone who knows that man well and saw how the govt went about legal affairs knows that he was cleaning up rather than advising.

It looks like she never lifted a penny of the kit at KU. If the boss doesn’t redirect the funds to duplicitous schemes no one else does, so the surplus funds expand and the university is financially stable.
