Human stupidity is infinite.
Even in the US they do that, a lot of Public relations to enlist recruits, that is why we even have these Medal of honour, call of duty video games etc, they also go around recruiting college kids especially when they are broke because they can get quotas in their education etc, , in industrialized countries like South Africa and US there are so many career options and being a soldier is the least of concerns, Kenya is a very small economy and cannot employ many outside the service sector or govt,that’s why people flock to the army and want to get there by hook or crook
