Private Hospitals

The poor in kenya enjoy better healthcare than the rich.
A poor man’s health deteriorates over time, before he finally dies, a rich man is with us today in great health, tomorrow he is dead, in a private hospital.

The poor enjoy better healthcare in public hospital, the rich enjoy better hospitality in private hospitals.

The rich will choose a better car park, nice reception with pretty ladies, nice food and a tv in private hospitals over quality healthcare in public hospitals.

In public hospitals we are patients, in private hospitals the rich are customers, clients, but never patients.

Kila mtu atumie pesa yake vile anajiskia.

No healthy person will die the following day after admission to public hospital, Healthy people die within a few hours after driving themselves to private hospitals.

That’s where i stopped reading…wacha mihadarati.

healthcare sio ile chakula mnakula hospitali na tv kwa ward,

Uko na point lakini si kwote kama kawaida yako

Unless it’s a mission hospital the rest are just businesses like any other with targets and profit margins.

The poor in Kenya…keyword poor…do not even know what healthcare is…let that sink in.

I remember a story where a private hospital refused to release a body because of hospital bill. I think they wanted 3M/=
This is extortion

enda the mater hospital…ni ya cathoh…ama uende coptic then ukuje na feedback

He/She is dead already
Silipi chochote

Wacha wakae nayo

Ile siku wats announce they are disposing unclaimed bodies, tutaenda

Me too but people have an attachment to dead bodies that doesn’t make financial sense. In fact I told my family that if that happened to me, they shouldn’t bankrupt themselves only to take my body and put it in a hole.

Good point. Kitambo we used to fundraise sana to bring a body home. Siku hizi tumeamua we can also be buried here where our children can visit our graves. Kujisumbua to raise 1 million+…hiyo apana…unless one had insurance or it was wish to be buried in Kenya lakini then pls don’t expect us to foot the bill and especially if you also don’t changa for other people.

Sani, you may have a point, maybe it is the way you have put it across. Gather stats from our national hospital and one private hospital like Aga Khan and then come and tell us more. The rot in our heath system is astounding.

Hata mimi sioni haja ya mwili kupelekwa mbali only to be put in a hole. Unajua hata wale wamezikwa huku Kenya very few friends and relatives ever go to the graveyard to spend a few minutes there after the funeral? As long as amepewa proper burial then that is all that matters to me.

Your way of thinking is wanting!
