Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) has reached a deal with the KCB Bank Kenya Ltd (KCB) on modalities to reopen Chase Bank Ltd. All Chase Bank Ltd (In Receivership) branches will open by Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Chase Bank customers will have immediate access to their deposits up to a maximum of Ksh.1 million.
Central Bank of Kenya agrees that KCB is to take over Chase Bank.
@Okiya in a case like this does the chase bank branches get rebranded to kcb colours or they remain as they are?

Or could be they heard rumors you guys were complaining on how CBK is selling us outside instead of allowing local banks to take over? I don’t know…am just speculating.

I hope they do the same for Imperial Bank. Alot of NGO’s and business clients were messed up. Malindi town expatriates were worst affected.

Nice idea, you may just have saved KCB millions in consultants fee on rebranding Chase. I would go with KCB-Chase

I don’t know. But for QNB since I know their strategy, when they buy a bank, they still retain the name of the original bank. E.g In Dubai they bought CBI and they still call themselves CBI
