I have worked and lived i Mombasa, and every friday a agroup of women (healthy and with vigor) some in their youths go around begging for handouts…
What annoys me the most is that they will go around begging every friday for a whole year, go back to their houses and wait for he next friday. If you inquire to why they do it they’ll tell you that there are no job opportunities while Mombasa is a county full of opportunities (people from upcountry (wabara) are making profits here starting from little business such as selling vegeatables and fruits, distributing milk, bread and other items)
I have over the past hired a few locals who do the work poorly and after the first paycheck wanapotea without notice.
The poverty situation in coast is not to be blamed on the government but on the locals and their leaders for being lazy.
The coast region lacks role models, their leaders are corrupt, and this will go on for many years to come, unless someone comes and beats some sense into these dumb ferks.
Hio joto ya coast makes one lazy…even me now its 32 degrees here…am lying on my bed…with boxers and vest only …AC is running…Called my Boss and faked a sickness akanipa free leo…nko hapa nakunywa beer baridi mdogo mdogo
apa nikuitiwa musti tuu…kuna joto mbaka blaze ananishow nistoke inje juu ya jua,ati ntaitiwa krankenwagen which is ambulance in ujeru. many faint juu ya hii jua wueh

Instead of blaming other lazy people, ask yourself are you where you should be? If not what are doing about it? Leave the others be. If they work hard they will threaten your very source of progress.
Seriously man you are not lacking employees right now, are you?
If so let me know of your line of work and I will point ambitious juniors your way.
It is not my purpose to change the lazy, however I will empower the driven.
