Pope Francis visit to Kenya.

PRIOR ADVICE TO MOTORISTS ATTENDING THE PAPAL FUNCTIONS OR GOING ABOUT OTHER BUSINESS.
Arrival Wednesday 25th in the evening. Heads to Statehouse.
Police plan to shut out all automobile movement in Nairobi during Pope Francis official function in Nairobi City on Thursday. Nairobi Central Business District NCBD will be completely shut to all vehicles. This includes high ranking government and non government officials who would wish to attend the function. The center of the activity will be the University of Nairobi (UoN) on Thursday. All the million plus faithful will walk to the venue. The presidential motorcade &, the pope mobile will be the only autos in the area plus some emergency vehicles
Pope Francis will lead an open-air Mass on Thursday November 26.
Along the roads and around the areas no vehicular movement will be allowed. Other Roads within Nairobi outskirts will be open.
No going beyond the Globe roundabout, Riverside, the Museum Hill interchange, the Kenya National Library Headquarters on Ngong Road, Bunyala Road roundabout on Mombasa Road. From Hurlingam Valley Road there will be no entry beyond Silver Springs roundabout, State house road will be cut at Dennis Pritt Road crossroads at State House Gate D. Arboretum Road will not be in use. Motorists attending the function can park at Don Bosco Catholic Church, Nyayo Stadium and Capital Centre. From Ngong Road park at Don Bosco, St George’s Primary and Girls’ Secondary School. Motorists on Waiyaki Way will find parking at Loreto Convent Msongari, Jaffrey Club, St Austin’s Catholic Church, Lavington Primary School, Strathmore School (all in Lavington), Consolata Shrine and St Mark’s Church (in Westlands).
Another function at St Joseph the Worker Church in Kangemi Mountain View area will be on Friday 27th at 8.30 am.
He will proceed later to Kasarani Sports Stadia at 10.30am.
The entourage will then proceed to JKIA on the same day to fly out of the country to Uganda
Motorists are advised however to avoid non essential movement near the routes as movement will be restricted.

Will not be anywhere near that place. It’s a huge security risk! There must be enough terrorists now living in Hall 2 a shooting distance from the UoN grounds.
