Bungoma County MCAs have threatened to ‘cause mayhem’ in the newly formed Jubilee Party if they do not get the position of Secretary General. They said their former party was the first to dissolve, and should therefore not be sidelined during appointments of the new party top officials. Led by Bungoma assembly majority leader Henry Nyongesa, the 25 civic leaders on Friday evening said they will not accept anything less than the Secretary General position. “We will ensure that we get the seat of Secretary General because we were the first party to close our house and move into the new home, Jubilee party.” he stated.
New Ford Kenya, whose leader was Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, was the first to dissolve in July.
