The PEV in the rift as perpetrated by the Kalenjin wasn’t planned. Ruto didn’t plan anything.
It was just something spontaneous. Again truth shall come out some day and karma about to start on the real perpetrators on every side.

Ruto may not have plan the attacks, unless there is evidence he did. but there is nothing like spontaneous violence. It took planning for perpetrators to gang up and execute the attacks

Sang never said anything that was wrong or false.
The gangs organized themselves, but no one was the overall leader or even a overall funder. The violence in kericho and burnt forest and everywhere else were just related by circumstances.
I think in the Rift it was organized, it was too systematic. In some parts of major cities it could have been spontaneous after “no … no peace” slogans.

People were angry with the stolen vote, Radio stations reported about violence in certain regions and asked people to be calm but the worst happened , no town wanted to be left out of “fighting for the nation” … Nothing was planned, and i repeat , nothing was planned.
Blame on shoddy investigations done by the ICC, a local tribunal would have done a better job, Lakin we trusted foreigners to our detriment.
The said warriors lost it big time, they never achieved achieved their goals, that’s to push Okuyu’s past Naivasha.
You cannot rewrite history much as you want. It is an insult to our intelligence and the memory of those massacred because of their tribal affiliation.
To understand 2007 PEV we have a precedent. In 1992, also an election year, there was a systematic attack where more than 1,500 people, mostly Kikuyus, were killed by Kalenjin and Maasai warriors. More than 300,000 people were displaced from Rift Valley province. 2007 was just another episode in what had become a longstanding trend of post-election ethnic clashes.

@Hunter Xp Shame on You! Ask those who were there… I was, and I can tell you everything was organized. The only thing that may be lacking is evidence to link Ruto to the planning and financing…Otherwise, local leaders mobiled the local youths to burn houses and drive madoadoa out.

this was a very very well organized scheme. same as the one in timboroa in 1995 (somewhere there - which i attended)
please note i was in class 5 at the time and i had no clue why my uncle was carrying a bow and 6 poisoned arrows
he told me that they’re going to chase away kikuyus from the area
i tagged along with him and we got to a homestead where over 100 men were sitting on the grass. all with bows, all with arrows.
i remember the event because there was a guy who did something i had never seen
he requested majani ya chai and a piece of paper and a kibiriti. he rolled it up and smoked it like a cigarette
trust me when i tell you these things are organized. there is no way people just wake up to fight.

My point remains that Ruto didnt organize or fund these attacks, The subsequent attacks were organized by gangs at a location level at most.

The only question we need to ask is have we done enough to prevent a similar tragedy in future? The answer is no.
The problem with us, and we will be greatly punished for it, is that we are quite insincere. We see a yellow cow, but for some reason, when asked what color it is, all come up with a reason for its being green.

it was organized. alot of my neighbours some with serious cut marks said trucks full of armed men with spears and pangas arrived the heartless men descended on their village killing raping showing mercy to non of them.they seeked shelter in churches but some werent so lucky.i look at them now and you can see the hate deep inside trying to hide the fear with teary eyes
A majority of this election violence was pre planned. Remember the former Budalangi mp Raphael Wanjala alipatikana na a large number of machettes kwa gari akielekea machinani.
