Petrol station business

I’m thinking of setting a petrol station business in my 1/2 acre land touching Embu-kutus highway some meters from kutus.Niko campus so sina funds. Anyone who can help with an idea of how i can get funding to set up the business

Too ambitious.

Hii ni shamba ya baba yake. Jamaa is building castles on mogoka in campus.

Shamba ni yangu boss. Title deed iko with my full names. If I’m to sell it it’s going for 5M half an acre. But sitaki kuuza nataka niinvest

Ongea na @D… Mungai

Anaweza help?

Ghasia punguza mogoka that shit will give your erectile dysfunction.

Wewe ata spelling ni shida…nakushangaa ata

?

Hio biz hutaka a lot, and I mean A LOT, of money. Umepiga research? I don’t know who’ll give you such colossal sums.
Your best bet hapa ni kulease it out to someone who can set up what you are aiming for. But then again, mtu akona pesa kama hizo ataprefer kununua tu

Lease hiyo shamba peti si kiosk.

Petrol station needs at least 25m a simple one.
Especially the operating cash flows are immense.
Kama Shell, if you don’t have your own tankers then it’s a zero sum game juu kulipa another person to transport the oil is expensive it eats your profits sana. Profit margin is around 3 shillings a litre. If the transport is yours you charge your station around 2 shillings a litre, so at max 5 shillings per litre profit.

Say you sell 5,000 litres in a day that’s around 25k profit, now selling that 5,000 litres ndio kazi ingine

See those margins at most 4 shillings. Because you are retail operating margin.

Hio margin ndio will pay employees, electricity, maintenance and repairs, sustain your life etc

This translates to almost 100 saloon cars fuelling full tank on a daily basis. Hii traffic itatoka wapi kwa highway?

Alafu everybody nowadays want to franchise the shell/total brands because of customers. Everybody fears these funny funny filling tations juu ya fuel adulteration. Jamaa atembee hiyo junction ya kuenda Machakos on Mombasa road called Kyumvi aone ni fuel station ngapi zilifungwa when somebody opened a shell station. Hii business si ya watu wa campus Bro.

Eeeeeh hapo ndio problem iko.

At most you can get as margin in a petrol station is 5 shillings per litre. Ukijua hio then you start working backwards, if it makes sense then try but most of the time it never does for small scale traders.

Hio ploti if the guy is sincere he can do a very good business hapo easily but not a petrol station.

Unafaa uwe na kakitu.
Jaribu Rubis franchise

Hii bado watu hawaiamini. Watu bado wako traditional stations zenye walikuwa wanaona wakiwa watoto, shell, total kenol. National Oil kiasi juu inakaa serikalish.

Agip and Esso wakarudi sahii they can make a killing.

Yeah

Yeah i know but sasa shida ni starting capital ya kuset biz…This land it’s a gold mine…na siwezi penda kuiuza na sina any idea what to do with it

Why cant he start a ka-joint on that highway, as a stop over, complete with eateries, shops and even swimming.
Petrol station will be just a plus.
A good example is the Nice Rice center on Mwea-Embu highway.
That guy does not make a lot by selling fuel, but he makes a killing by offering other services.

But still the margins remain,
Yes you will start with minimal capital but your profit margin remains same for Shell, total, etc

Petrol station is a big man business.

Economies of Scales hapa ndio its needed kabisaaa.
