So I have been studying alot (Bible, other inspired Christian books, plus lectures etc.) for the past 2 years. Last year (July 2021) I came up with the following timeline for what’s about to happen to us shortly based on what I studied. I updated it a few times the deeper I studied. Here Jesus was proclaiming to the legalistic Pharisees that He was greater than the Law of Moses in response to their complex, punitive instructions governing this particular day. In essence, they had made themselves the lords of the Sabbath and the Israelites. Since the Lord of the Sabbath has already come, and with His death and resurrection become the fulfillment of our “Sabbath rest,” the salvation we have in Christ has made the old law of the Sabbath no longer binding.

1.) Why do we teach that Sunday is the mark of the beast? We teach that because we believe that the catholic church system (headed by the pope) is [COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)]the ‘anti-christ’ as it fulfills all the criteria given in the Bible as markers that identify the ‘anti-christ’. The characteristics of the anti-christ:
a.)Anti-Christ shall blaspheme God Daniel 7:25 ‘And he shall speak great words against the most High…’, Revelation 13:6 ‘And he opened his mouth speaking great things and blasphemies…’
Evidence: 'The popes have self approved titles such as the ‘Vicegerent of the Son of God’ and ‘Lord God the pope’ 'Extravagantes of pope John XXII, title 14. Ch.4
. 'Pope Nicholas said to Emperor Michael. “The pope can never be bound or loosed by the secular power since it is plain that he was called by God by the pious prince Constantine,…and it is manifest that God can not be judged by man” Decreti Prima Pars. Distincto XCVI, caput 8.
The popes of Rome have assumed infallibility, profess to forgive sins, profess to be Gods on as ‘Vicar of Christ’
In the bible blasphemy is defined as making oneself be like God through forgiving sin or by claiming you ate God e.g:
Luke 5: 20-23 ‘And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?’
b.) Antichrist shall wear out (persecute) the saints of the most High Daniel 7:25 ‘…and he shall wear out the saints of the most High…’ Revelation 13:7 ’ And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them…’
Evidence: The Roman Catholic church carried out the inquisition, the persecution of the Waldenses, the ravages of the Duke of Alva, the fires of smithfield, the tortures of Goa. In the year 1208 a crusade was proclaimed by Pope Innocent III against the Waldenses and Albogenses, in which 1 million men perished.
From the begining of the order of the Jesuits in the year 1540 to 1580, 900,000 were destroyed. 150,000 perished by the inquisition in 30 years.
The lowest estimate made by any historian will show that the Roman Catholic church murdered atleast 50,000,000 saints. Imperial Rome mirdered 3,000,000 christians.
c.) Antichrist shall think to change times and laws of God
Daniel 7:25 ‘…and (he) shall seek to change the times and laws…’ of God which never change.
Evidence: In its catechisms, the Roman Catholic church expunged the 2nd commandment of the decalogue to make way for its adoration of images. It has divided the 10th commandment to make up for the number 10. And more audacious than all, it has taken hold of the 4th commandment, torn it from its place the Sabbath of Jehova, the only memorial of the great God ever given to man, and erected in its place a rival institution to serve another purpose.
d.) Antichrist will have the saints of the most High given in its hands for 3.5 prophetic years/ 1260 literal years
Daniel 7:25 ’ …and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.’ Revelation 13:5’…and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.’
Evidence: a time according to the Bible is 1 year. In Daniel 4 it is explained that 7 times are to pass over Nebuchadnezzar during his time in exile living with wild animals eating grass. The 7 times represent 7 years according to Daniel the prophet.
2 times, the least that can be denoted by the plural, 2 years, and the dividing of time, half a year. We thus have 3.5 years for the continuance of this power.
In prophecy, the measurement of a time (year) is not literal but symbolic, the rule then given to us in the Bible is that when a day is used as a symbol, it stands for a year e.g
Ezekiel 4:6 ‘And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.’
Numbers 14:34 ‘after the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise’
The ordinary Jewish year, which must be used as a basis of reckoning, contained 360 days. 3.5 years therefore contain 1260 days. As each day stands for a year we have 1260 years for the continuation of the supremacy of this little horn. This time started in A.D 538 but the edict of the emperor Justinian which gave Papal Rome the supremacy was given in A.D 533 which made the bishop of Rome the head of all churches. But this edict could not go into effect until the Arian Ostrogoths, the last of of the 3 horns of Daniel 7:24 was plucked in A.D 538 to make room for the papacy.
When you add 1260 years from year A.D 538 you arrive at the year A.D 1798. In 1798, Berthier, with a French army, entered Rome, proclaimed a republic, took the pope prisoner and for a time abolished the papacy. It has never since enjoyed the privileges and immunities which it possessed before.
e.) The number of the beast’s name is 666. Revelation 13:18 ’ Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six’

Now that we have identified the beast, lets identify his mark/ his sign / his signature. To do this I will quote official catholic writings and publications:

The Sunday law was officially confirmed by the Roman Papacy. The Council of Laodicea in A.D. 364 decreed, “Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday but shall work on that day; but the Lord’s day they shall especially honour, and, as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out from Christ” (Strand, op. cit., citing Charles J. Hefele, A History of the Councils of the Church, 2 [Edinburgh, 1876] 316).
Cardinal Gibbons, in Faith of Our Fathers, 92nd ed., p. 89, freely admits, “You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we [the Catholic Church] never sanctify.”
Again, “The Catholic Church, … by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday” (The Catholic Mirror, official publication of James Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893).
“Protestants do not realize that by observing Sunday, they accept the authority of the spokesperson of the Church, the Pope” (Our Sunday Visitor, February 5, 1950).
“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday Sabbath to Sunday] was her act… And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things” (H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons).
The Catholic Church claims that “the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact” (Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1, 1923).
Note that even though Sunday is the mark of the beast, the judgement pronounced on those who have taken it in Revelation 14 has not yet commenced and the test has not yet officially began. It will begin when the Church, in union with the State (world governments) enforce it globally under the penalty of death starting with the US government (beast of Revelation 13:11-17).
So people going to Sunday keeping churches including catholic are not condemned. In-fact most of God’s people are in these churches (and all religions such as Islam, hindu etc.) and thus the cry calling them to get out! from Revelation 14:9-11. This cry of the 3rd angel (google 3 angels’ messages) is now going out for the mark of the beast is soon to be imposed on all that dwell on the earth under the penalty of death!
God also has his mark/sign/seal; a sign/ seal of any ruler must contain 3 components: the title of the ruler, the name of the ruler & the territory which he rules. E.g the seal of the president of the U.S - President (title) Joe Biden (name) of the U.S.A (territory).
President (title) Uhuru Kenyatta (name) of the D.R of Kenya (territory)
The seal also is used by the ruler to ratify/ legitimise laws. E.g if you or me went to uhuru park and declared a dusk to dawn curfew people will think we are crazy but if Uhuru signs/ seals a decree declaring the same curfew, you better not be found outside at night lol. So likewise God’s seal can be found in His law (10 commandments). The 4th commandment says:

2.) Wasn’t Jesus the Lord of the Sabbath?
Yes He is the Lord of the Sabbath but He declared that sabbath was made for man by Him and not man for sabbath; meaning that the sabbath was created by God for the good of mankind. Mark 2: 27-28 ‘And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath’
Jesus never did away with the sabbath. The sabbath that was done away with was of the ceremonial laws of the jews, of the laws of Moses, which was ended when the curtain in the temple was torn in 2 at the death of Jesus.
Colossians 2:16-17 ‘Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.’
But the 10 commandments were never done away with. That is why as Christians we should not kill, steal, commit idolatry etc. The 4th commandment days keep the sabbath, the 7th day.
Ceremonial Sabbaths
Leviticus 23:7, 8, 21, 24, 25, 27, 32, 39. There are seven ceremonial Sabbaths as follows:- 1. 16th of Abib; 2. 23rd of Abib; 3. Pentecost; 4. 1st of the 7th month; 5. 10th of the 7th month; 6. 15th of the 7th month; 7. 22nd of the 7th month. These were annual Sabbaths, coming only once a year. As they always came on the same day of the month, they would come only occasionally on the 7th day of the week. BHB 79.8
• Colossians 2:16, 17. These Sabbaths were all shadows of things to come. BHB 80.1
• Hebrews 9:8-11. The types, or shadowy service, ceased at the cross. The Desire of Ages, 774. BHB 80.2
• Matthew 27:50-51. At the death of Christ God rent the vail of the temple, thus showing that the shadowy service had ended. BHB 80.3
• Hebrews 9:10; Romans 14:1-6; Colossians 2:16. All of these ceremonial Sabbaths were connected with the annual feast days. On the Passover Sabbath bitter herbs were mingled with the feast. The day of atonement was a fast day; the others were feast days. BHB 80.4
• Leviticus 23:38. These annual Sabbaths were separate and distinct from the Sabbath of the Lord. BHB 80.5
• Exodus 20:10. The seventh day of the week is the Sabbath of the Lord. BHB 80.6
• Exodus 20:8-11. “Meats and drinks” not connected with the weekly Sabbath. BHB 80.7
• Exodus 20:11. Seventh-day Sabbath a memorial of creation. The Desire of Ages, 289. BHB 80.8
• Isaiah 66:22, 23. As long as the world stands the memorial of creation will be celebrated. BHB 80.9.

I agree with most of what you have said, but keeping the Sabbath day on a Saturday is not a salvation issue because we are under a new dispensation (GRACE!).
