Kama kuna kitu ilinishinda na hadi wa leo inaniuma ni vile I failed at maths all through primary, secondary and uni first year. Tuition and bridging was not of much help as I never managed to get above a C. I can’t complain about my life but I dread ile siku mkidi ataniambia nimsaidie na Maths homework juu najua sitaweza, esp Class 5 and above. People who get As in Maths are geniuses.
Tosheka na io I.Q ya konokono…4 the kiddo, mtoto wa nyoka ni nyoka tu
Your handle rhymes well with that narrative:D
Acha izzo brazza…
LOL, nimeji console that I made up for it in other ways. Algebra and calculus, what the heck is that? Na log book zile mnaenda exams room nayo mlitumia kufanya nini?
I was good in maths in high school but I never completed any paper. Nilikua naangalia swali zote naona naelewa 99% of them but time was never enough for me to finish all so I never got an A. Physics was the subject that shafted me throughout my time in school and unfortunately I joined a secondary school where physics was compulsory.
I was like that too but my progenies ni wembe kwa numbers. Hiyo assertion ya @sludgist haina mbele wala nyuma…
How did I do it? Nilichukua compass na kuchora circle then protractor nikatumia kuchukua angle nikachora tangent then nikatumia sohcahtoa
Substituting ‘for’ with ‘4’ shouldn’t come from someone talking about IQ.
Tulia shoga mkuu
Basi wacha kusumbua raia…ii swali kaulize Matiang’i
Boss C is good, maths and most of the things we learnt in school start to make sense later on in life when you face real problems that need solving, your kids will have it easy because you will help them visualise the scenarios.
Asanti mkubwa. I was counting and multiplying with my finger till I was in Class 6. I sincerely hope progeny will not be like me.
Wametoa kwa mama.
The moment I didnt get an A in physics ndio nilijua i will be a mbirrionaire
My secret was to always copy the example given by the teacher or the text book first. You ensure you understood the concept being explained in the example. The second step was to go to the TRY OUT SECTION (Exercises in Kenyan books) and figure out what the questions asked in reference to the done example. I did this the same day we were taught. Most felt maths was difficult because they left it all, rushing when CAT or exams was announced.
