With the world gasping at Lionel Messi’s penalty assist for Luis Suarez, it now seems that a few teams have taken inspiration from the spot kick and tried to make it their own. Except that most teams in the world don’t have players like Messi or Suarez who know how to make it work. A few people at Zimbabwe side Dynamos didn’t quite get the message that they weren’t Barcelona, and opted to attempt the pass-penalty kick with hilarious results . What makes this effort so wonderfully brilliant is how the pass to the onrushing player is actually hit fairly well, it’s just the onrushing player doesn’t bank on the defender charging in like a boss and preventing a goal - you can watch the footage below.
