Peasants are just political pawns for the political class, it’s what it is, it you die or if your property is destroyed, you’re just collateral damage. The only solution for this is, Don’t be a peasant who thinks that once your party has won (Jubilee or CORD) then you have won, instead we should be striving for a country where every tribe, economic class, age, feels included. Kenyan politics basically comprises of one tribal block competing against another block, if we keep on with the status quo where by the winner takes it all and the losers are left high and dry then the current deep tribal resentment would only grow more and more toxic and in no time there will be blood in the streets and all peasants will go down, not as CORD or Jubilee or whatever parties that will be relevant at the time but as a country. The lives of the political class and the wealthy wouldn’t change much, as a matter of fact anarchy provides the ideal environment for mega looting with impunity. Our democratic practices should be remodeled to suit to our political environment for us to thrive as a country, as an economy, period. But dumb peasants just can’t wrap their tiny minds around this simple fact.
Welcome back dubz
Vipi mzeiya. Now, how can this message be translated to ‘peasant speak’?
Yet the ones who brew the hate potion are not peasants. Wazito wanacheza friendly game ya chess in politics. Peasants are the pawns. Puppet masters and marionettes.
Wacha tu niseme haya…Peasantry is a state of mind. As much as we would like to argue about inadequate resources, money or whatnot for those who are underprivileged you cannot discount the fact that peasantry is a state of mind. Now this people normally view the political class as sort of gods. Do something against their kin in leadership and it’s a crime against their entire tribe.
Now go into the political class and see how they interact cordially. Changing sides at the whims of their pockets and not their ideals. There are no tribal lines in the political class only profit margins. But every other hoi poloi sitting in their dens somewhere in some remote village will go to the muddy streets and cause anarchy and chaos at the whims of their tribal king.
Look at Nyeri. Paid goods fighting MCA’s. Do you think you could have a rich man whipping MCA’s and risking bodily harm at the whims of the Governor?
I beg that the discussion should be about, how are we going to create jobs, resources and other social amenities to improve the livelihoods of the underprivileged. How are we going to bring those poor people who will do anything for 50sh, into a position of near equality? Let’s not kid ourselves. We cannot achieve equality.
Ni hayo tu.
All good but all this talk of peasantry is lame. Most of these guys who talk about it are middle class and are one paycheck from being thrown out of their apartment in Kilimani. If you’re going to talk like this at least back it up, show us your beach front properties, investments etc… otherwise hii ni muhahe ya new money inawasumbua
:D:D Ng’ombe
Mmesahau ni juzi tuu Raila Alikuwa statehse Na wetangula shaking hands with uhunye before wakakula dinner… Hio hio meeting tuliona nkaiserry, Aden duale wakigoteana na Rao while laughing pamoja… Bakini hapo nyi mafala

There is no problem with the winner takes all situation provided the win is based on the winner’s ability to deliver his manifesto with equity to all citizens irrespective of tribe. Unfortunately the foundation of our politics was built on feuds and vendetta of a few individuals which has sucked complete tribes into what started as a personal matter. Peasants should forget about nationalism and tribalism and start thinking individual then they can clearly see who is for and against their personal gain and democracy will work fine.
Hata wewe unajua sivyo madam. But 20 points for trying. And 30 points for having boobs.
Yap!! there are only two tribes in reality …the rich and the poor. Raila’s co. still does business with Uhuru’s group of hotels…their kids meet in the same social circles etc…
