Paul Kagame, the controversial president of Rwanda, has won a landslide victory in the small African state’s election, securing a third term in office and extending his 17 years in power.
The result will surprise no one, inside or outside Rwanda.

One look at Rwanda and you will understand why he is loved and supported even by his fewer critics.
democracy is overated
My two cents…The Rwandese chose peace over democracy…the genocide is fresher than ever and nobody wants to go back. President Kagame is the glue that holds the Hutus and Tutsis together.Don’t get me wrong, he has done well for Rwanda and maybe in the process “stiffled” dissenting voices, but who is counting? Rwanda is steadily rising.
The only thing i know about Rwanda is the genocide massacre…
AOB…Paul kagame is tall:D:D:D
I hope all ur supporting comments above are in sarcasm. I mean, who wins an election fairly with such a %age.
I feel sad how people like you sit, read and start typing. Have you visited rwanda? Let me put it this easy, have you ever gone past busia or namanga border? If you visit rwanda you will see more than genocide . Get off those endocrine protein cycles and THINK . So stop embarrassing yourself with shallow opinions. Rwanda will overtake Kenya next 15 years.
 Genocide massacre hii tuliambiwa huitwa tautology sio?
You sound like a father who’s kid has failed the exam…dude, plz get off my case!!!
Smh
ATI when I think of Rwanda all I see is genocide!!!What the hell ? I wish Elijah msambwa can strip some people off their uterus if they will bring offspring with the same reasoning genotypes. Shenzi sana
Genocide massacre as opposed to genocide Smirnoff party?
Yeah
Hahaha…you started well but hapo kwa overtake Kenya in 15yrs balaa. What credible stats have you used? Or you just pulled a figure out of your arse?
Yetu ni kesho
East Africa is just a mess. Only Kenya and TZ leading in democracy…Uganda, DRC, S.Sudan, Burundi and now Rwanda sharing same characteristics
Yes, he is popular but 99% of votes cast? Nigga please.
Those stats are not real.
He got 99% from the 40% (6,650,722 votes) that voted in a country that has over 13 million registered voters. In other words 60% of the registered voters didn’t vote.
What a great win!!! Just like the Kim’s in North Korea, Mobutu in Zaire, Saddam- Iraq, Gadaffi - Libya
Long live Kagame, Long Live Democracy
His opponents were not allowed to campaign
