Patrick Njoroge was overrated (hakuna kitu alifanya)

How the Kenya shilling has performed under different central bank governors.

It dropped by 149% under Kotut and 42% under Njoroge.

Kotut and Njoroge were both puppets. Kwanza Kotut was an incompetent fool who had no experience in managing a currency.

Njoroge on the other hand alifika mahali akajua anadeal na majambazi si He decided fuck it . Am just going to show up to work

Cbk governor doesn’t have full controlin determining exchange rate. And given the country we live in full of corruption and theft he has done well.

Njiroge stabilised the shilling at about 100 bob vs dollar for 10yrs despite global upheavals, inflation and covid. Alifanya kazi mzuri.

One thing he did was disciplining commercial banks. Putting an end to 18-40% Shylock loan rates by banks. He is a great thinker, will expand your narrow way of thought ushtuke. Clearly IMF saw a brilliant mind. However a terrible person in interpersonal relationships. He can be callous and even cruel. Nigga is a user and he feels nothing. At least we elected politicians. However appointed ppl should have a lower ego of work.

I will somewhat agree that Patrick Njoroge was overrated. There perhaps was over expectation from him for reasons not very clear to the public as in, what are the great thing(s) he had done in the past to create the expectation. His approach to a stable monetary was conservative…not daring. To the Shilling decline toward his exit, there were external events including Covid and the War - But all CB heads faced the same task. Based on Policy Results, to me he was an Average Manager.
