i have been to this department of immigration services.
i see people complaining of the service and time they have to wait to get a passports
i have applied mine this year and it worries that i will get it next year,who has an experience with this process?
I got mine in 10 days.

@sparks I don’t think so, just apply online through your E-Citizen portal and you will get it after two weeks max after presentation of originals at Nyayo house…
And you can chat online with those guys too…

Your old Passport and/or Your Original Birth Certificate and your National ID. Plus utapeleka picha mbili za passport just for filing…

Got mine in 2012, the process was smooth. It should be faster now provided you have all the requirements.
And don’t forget to also carry a copy of your ID card which should be signed and stamped by a lawyer. The same goes for those 2 passport photos.
It’s so easy, I got mine in two weeks. then I took a friend, he applied on a Thursday and got it on a Monday… apana shtuka sana, as long as you don’t come from border communities…

Applied for mine on a Thursday,… By Monday I had it ready…
Mine was back 2014, maybe things have changed now. Was in haste to book for a cheap air ticket which was never to be! Until 2015 April, thats when I flew Brussels airlines to the UK and back. Btw if anyone would love to fly to Europe, thats the cheapest airline with excellent services aboard.

What if the Birth Certificate isn’t original? Like…the original got lost so one has another ‘new’ one?
original means not forged or not a photocopy
