IEBC can appeal the judges decision , if they want.

We will never beat deadlines. Everything in this country needs extension.
Even (lack)provision of key services like water are being extended.
Judiciary is just factotum.

seeing as there are only seven days the appeal would create more confusion…

@gashwin , I believe there are appeals that can be dealt with on an urgent basis… within 1-2 days… Ama ? lawyers in Ktalk village.
So IEBC officials do not have to say they have been held hostage by te Judiciary and unable to perform during August elections.

Nimesema na nitasema - the Judiciary has gone rogue.

If we go on like this, these entitled buggers will plunge thic country into civil war.

They have been used by vested interests to stop all procurement processes by the IEBC (including one critical tender that was stopped because the Hassan team had allowed it, as if that was a sin) basically making it impossible for the polls’ body to prepare.

But perhaps the worst decision the courts have made so far is to rule that in the presidential election the votes announced at the constituency level will be final, and the national IEBC will not have the power to tally them. Basically that means that ROs in Central (or any other place) will have a freehand to announce that Uhuruto, or any other candidate, have won 1 million votes in a single constituency Constituency, and the national office cannot overturn those results despite that constituency having just 65,0000 registered voters. And to overturn them the IEBC will have to go to the Spreme Court - the only that can hear presidential petitions. Now, if 60 ROs make this mistake, the Supreme Court will not have time to hear all the petitions, and a constitutional crisis will ensure - and war.

Remember who sparked the 2007 crisis? A fake RO from Molo. If it took just one of those, what will 200 ROs with fake results achieve?
