I had a similar problem with a lancer few a years ago it could be your radiator the check if it has a crack on the top plastic cover they usually give up after 150,000kms.
Unfortunately there is no glue welding fix to this if its the issue.
You need to buy a brand new radiator.
Besides that ask them to do an engine/radiator pressure check not sure of the technical term is and the water pump.

Kata kata hio scrap

have the thermostat removed. It could be jammed hence blocking water circulation in the engine. Kazi kidogo sana n you will be sorted.

Do that and you will increase the wear and tear rate of your water pump. Increased load.

really? This things fail at one time. If your water engine pump fails, replace with a new, it’s already served approximately 10 years. The issue here is to stop the numerous n annoying overheating of the engine.

They will fail at one time sooner or later. But don’t hasten that.

If indeed the problem turns out to be this, take it out and head to City Radiators or Sagoo Radiators in Industrial Area. They’ll custom-make one for you out of longer lasting materials. They’ll need the original for dimensions.

I do not know about this, but I’ve seen stories of increased fuel consumption after removal of the thermostat. Twas a long, winded explanation that even I do not recall the full details. Diesel turbo engine though.

One other thing: is your fan ok? Is it the ‘locked’ kind that’s always on as long as the engine is on (mostly an after-market modification) or the other type that ‘decides for itself’ when to come on? If the latter, is it possible that ‘inachelewa’ kufungua?

If you’ve been topping up your coolant a lot lately, check the integrity of all connections. Inspect them thoroughly as well as the radiator itself for leakages. Na uioshe pia to remove the clogged dirt on the fins.
