A little peep at history, and I am sure you are aware,
Maasais used to occupy a large part of the country
They neighboured the Kamba, agikuyu, Kisii, Kalenjin, luo and part of luhyas
As a result, there were a lot of intermarriages between Maasais and these communities
But not all were marriages
Some were short term engagements for a consideration
So in some instances, not all, a woman would come back to the village heads of cattle in tow, heavily pregnant
hapa bingwa mnusa tako history imekupiga chenga. tuliambiwa hapa na @Luther12 kuwa: by the time kenya got her independence almost all of the maasai tribe had been eradicated by disease and fighting, infact only about 10000 pure breed maasai were remaining so we can say that all the maasai people we have now are crossbreeds of mostly okuyus and kambas
FYI hi mambo ya infidelity was brought by the whiteman, morality was very casual, eg In kyuk culture if a friend you haven’t seen for ages visited one of your wives would choose him dry fry mpaka subuhi na hakuna kucatch feelings. It was also encouraged that some of your kids be from different fathers incase your “cursed” ( (probably genetic diseases ) your name would carry on. Boys were free to kawasaki as they trained their manhoods, but after the cut it was frowned upon.
