Taxes and exploitation. That bottle goes for $ 40. Don’t know what are the taxes on imported alcohol in Kenya.

If there is a “higher end” club that sells that whiskey for 100,000, some beta will still buy it at that prize to impress a yerro yerro. There is enough wash wash money floating around Nairoffi to support such ego exploits.

Meantime, the Rwathia billionaires will still partake of their 350 shs beer without breaking a sweat.

I watched Joe Rogan interviewing Chamath. Chamath, a billionaire, said that he does not see the value in buying expensive bottles of wine. In his experience, the best value for money is in the $40 range. After that, more money spent on wine doesn’t translate to better wine. That’s someone who has tasted the most expensive wines on earth without worrying about the cost.

That is wine. Zinafanana. Whiskey ni different. I am a whiskey person..the more expensive it is, the better. I was once given shot ya some whiskey worth close to 500k. That thing was different! I still feel it in my mouth and nikipata fuck-you money that is what I will be buying.
