Kipii @Sanchez11 is right. Jua Kali kuna pesa but there tends to be only a few dominant players and most jua kali people are just surviving. Usually utapata very few businesses pull over 300k per month net profit. Halafu utapata one person has like 10 branches making the wealth even more concentrated.
Angalia business kama hizi restaurants akina Sanford zenye uni students eat at. CBD ziko kama 20+ na ni one company. Its not 20 different people sharing profits but probably one family.
Angalia town yako. That successful businessman utapata ako na duka kama nne in that area. Its not 4 people with profitable businesses but one person dominating a local market. Everyone else in that area is earning peanuts.

Some people in jua kali make millions. But they are the minority. Everyone else is just surviving. Jua kali hukuwa na tendency ya a few big players dominating a market at the expense of everyone else. Why will I buy from the local shop when the big supermarket is a few minutes away with all the products I need at a big discount? The supermarket owner is making millions as shop owners earn peanuts. Most industries ziko hivyo. A few large players earn most of the money and everyone else is a shit-muncher.
