One thing you need to understand about people in this world

Economic and class distinctions are what human beings use to judge situations and people. I will not offer a long thesis but a few examples to demonstrate this theory.

  1. A poor person having casual sex is called a “prostitute/immoral” but a rich person having casual sex is said to be having “an affair” or “living large/enjoying finer things”
  2. A poor person with a drinking problem is called a “drunkard” a rich person with a drinking problem is called an “alcoholic” or more politely “battling mental health”
  3. A poor person who cuts corners to earn a living is a “thief/gangster” but a rich person who cuts corners is an “entrepreneur” or “working smart”
  4. A poor person who crosses the line as far as acceptable sexual behavior goes is a “rapist” or “pervert” while the rich man who does the same is a “sex offender”
  5. A poor person who rests from work is called “lazy” but a rich man who rests from work is said to be enjoying “leisure”

In short, despite the fact that what they do is the same, rich and poor people are judged differently by the world. That’s why you should not cling on people’s opinion. In fact, it’s better they think you are poor so that you enjoy peace, because the rich have many friends (Proverbs 19:4)…and as you know these friends ni swara tu, hapo ndio msaliti na mnafiki yuko.

Good day

A rich man that angers you is called 'pumpkin" but a poor man is ‘malenge’

The love of money is the root of all evil. People will laugh at a rich man’s stupid jokes, even when he’s insulting them.

richness ikikuja kuficha ni ngumu leeeches hawalali but kama wewe ni ordinare leeches hawana shugli yako

Our Lord King Solomon had this to say, "There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:

Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard."

Masikini hatambuliki.

Only two tribes in the world, the poor and the not poor

In my view, there are only two class distinctions. People that are free from work, and those who must work to survive (most of us).

For the wealthy, working is elective. That landlord with apartments raking in 2M per month does not need to lift a finger to survive. His money works hard for him and there are 100 peasants who must pay him every month to live in his properties. He works because he wants to, not because he has to.

His tenants - the nurse, cop, bank teller, sme owner, bus driver, accountant - must show up at work daily or they will be homeless soon after depleting their savings.

That’s the true difference between the classes. One has money working for them, and the other must work for money.

I agr

I agree but would add that those who make a life from ownership of capital as opposed to offering their hours as labour are a very small minority (single digit % of total adult population). Also, after attaining a certain standard of living (imo own house, cash flow positive assets, health insurance and reasonable discretionary income for entertainment, hobbies and projects)what pushes most people to keep accumulating wealth is a psychological necessity, not material needs. This psychological necessity is particularly strong if one loves women.

Rich crazy dude is 'eccentric ’ poor crazy dude ni ‘chizi’

That’s why I said wealthy people also work, but for them, it is elective. For the bottom 99.9%, working is compulsory.

A wealthy person can stay without working for a very long time, even decades, due to old age and other factors. But his quality of life (outside the illness or age) will not decline significantly.

Which hardworking gentleman doesn’t love women we msenge

There’s a difference between loving women and enjoying sex. If you want to destroy yourself continue loving women, for wine and women make sensible men do foolish things…

So which is the lesser evil love or sex

Sex

They rich also had to work before they got where they are…or at least their fathers or grandfathers wotked really hard

Peasant ni maliar ,rich people ni escort

Who said they didn’t??

A poor fat kid is called kanono while a rich fat kid is bonge or fatso

“There is only one class in the community that thinks more about money than the rich, and that is the poor. The poor can think of nothing else.” (Oscar Wilde)
