The Kamba community has always failed other Kenyans at decisive moments in our history. In 1992, the community opted to support Moi thusly helping him secure his second time. Never mind they were never getting anything tangible from Moi’s regime except occasional biscuits and sodas which were enough to excite them and secure their loyalty. They were also collaborators during the struggle for independence. But then what do you expect from a community that has lowlifes like @Nubia as its role models.
Come 2007, they once again betrayed other Kenyans by opting to play the tribal card and supporting their Kalonzo instead of backing baba. Kalonzo had been sponsored by Kibaki’s government to split the opposition.
What is worrying is that they are now warming up to kikuyus. They don’t know kikuyus are self-centred and treacherous. Okuyus would want a puppet president like Kalonzo that they can manipulate.
What kikuyus would want is to have a weak Kalonzo as the president with a kikuyu DP and then impeach him with the Kikuyu DP taking over. That is one of the itungati’s strategies- a strategy that will woefully fail. But kambas are too green to see this. But opportunistic Kalonzo is trying hard to endear himself to the kikuyu peasants.
Kalonzo is an indecisive, clueless, opportunistic, hypocritical and dishonest wimp. He has no business being the president of Kenya. We in ODM were only grudgingly accommodating him out of sympathy and securing the few kamba votes- as 2022 demonstrated, kambas would still have voted for baba previously without even Kalonzo being his running mate. . Had baba become the president, 6 months would not have passed without impeaching Kalonzo(as the DP). He is normally a political liability because of his lack of guts and indecisiveness. But then many kamba men are like that.
The kamba community must not agree to be misled by Kalonzo. They must not agree to be misused by kikuyus. Let them discard Kalonzo and get another leader.
And Kalonzo should be charged in a court of law for grabbing Yatta land. He is as dirty as other politicians.
The only way kambas can secure their future is by standing with baba and ruto. any other alliance that they get themselves into will confine them to political wilderness. Let them stop flirting with kikuyus if they want a bright future. In any case, Okuyus are always belittling the kambas.
