I knew something was up from the glib look on Ombetas face when Katwa Kigen was under performing…kumbe he knew something we/Kigen didnt. This man knows human psychology, the court and the judge are upbeat and amused.Ombeta is animated and engaging unlike Katwa Kigen. Cliff Ombeta is an astute negotiator. Even his body language speaks to his belief in his client’s innocence unlike Katwa who doesnt look convinced,looks bored and too solemn.

Legal battles are rarely won by theatrics, what counts is the legal underpinnings of an advocate’s argument. It’s airheads like you that are bamboozled by pompous presentations but a judge is more interested in the content of a presentation! Hii umoron ya wakenya is the reason why we have shit leaders, as long as someone is good shit-talker, they are assured of leadership, with little interrogation of what they are actually saying and doing.
That said, Ombeta is a decent lawyer, not because of his over-the-top court performances, hizo tu nizake anajibamba, but because of his good grasp of criminal law.
Katwa Kigen is very composed, looks like someone who could get you out of doors of prison.
Ombeta is really “good” because he knows how to grease those judges.
A really good lawyer (like Kigen) knows the law, Ombeta knows the judge!

The family of slain Monica will be looking in disbelief as these lawyers and culprits start assassinating the character of their dead daughter/sister/niece in order to put doubt on the guilt of the murderers. Revenge is the only justice the Monica family can hope to get just like revenge is the only justice Sharon’s family can hope to get. Hoping to get justice in the courts will only lead to heartache.
