Okuyu David Munyua is making the country proud in the ongoing 2026 PDC World Darts Championship and I wish him the best.
Munyua has demonstrated that once in a while on the international stage, Okuyus can do something positive- remember even on the international scene, many Okuyus make headlines for all the wrong reasons- scamming the US government, drug peddling and other vices. It is also quite inspiring because Okuyus arent known for excelling in sports.
We must also thank the government of HE Ruto for offering Munyua the support he needed to reach where he is. Without Ruto’s commitment to sports, Munyua would have gone nowhere.
But WE MUST not forget that Munyua is an Okuyu through and through - I hope he is not using unorthodox means-like doping or bribing- to succeed.
During the tournament, i would advise him to please avoid makali- the staple food of 80% of Okuyu men.
