Heri kwa mhindi
Kuuliza hapa ni ujinga lakini what does the Kenyan law say about delayed salary by an employer.
4000 work force! Jeso! Kwani ni factory! Hao watu ni wengi sana
Si wengi! Ni vile the backstage performers also earn millions. Nyinyi mnajua tu pilots na hostess, coz of their uniforms. Kuna a big workforce that plays a part that you dont see. Kwanza the engine engineers and technicians, lets just say si “Oti” from your local garage!
A few weeks ago one of the gulf carriers came to Kenya to recruit staff. Very many KQ engineers turned up for interviews. I also know management flew to Dubai recently and begged Emirates not to be hiring KQ pilots.
All in all KQ are undergoing massive cost cutting. A week ago I noticed that the plate served to guests in economy had reduced in size. By kitu kama quarter. Desert pia imetolewa kwa menu. They tell you drinks ni complimentary but they only serve 1 beer au mzinga. Before you drunk mpaka utosheke.
Things aren’t any different in business class. Nearly all the food items in the menu aren’t available. Ama it was my bad day.
Sad thing is ticket prices have shot up big time. Duty free is a pure hoax. Those things are expensive than some of the chums I know of in tao. Mimi hata hushindwa hawa watu hupeleka wapi pesa because despite the high ticket prices, planes are full.
Si naskia hiyo kazi wali outsource to those KLM the engineers who were grounding our planes over minute errors
Sina facts, maybe @Okiya anaeza saidia. But I have an engineer pal who works huko, kabla that plane takes of, kutakuwa na like minimum 15 engineers working on it, checks za engine, instruments blabla. Na vile kidero alisema, they are not paid in bananas coz mfuko zao ni mzito sana.
Ai.15 ni wengi. I’ve had the opportunity of being inside the cockpit the entire time before the plane started taxiing and only the pilot and co-pilot were checking the instruments. Plus there is always a guy outside the with headphones connected to the front part of the plane. Uyo sijui kazi yake.
Acha ujaluo. Nasema kabla ndege itake off!!! Kabla dem akuje date akuwe mrembo unajua atatake how many mins kujipodoa ajue ako na confidence ako sawa. Hiyo ndege same thing, kuna watu hutoa shonde mlihara huko, msee wa kuosha matapishi yenu, ndio mechanics wakam waseme iko sawa etc etc. The workforce that @Okiya doesnt see. How could he? Si yeye ni customer atanunua pombe like the date most men get!
Hii Kq sioni ikirudi to profitability any time soon… Unless waende equity model of business
Huyo ni flight controller, utajua kazi yake ile siku ndege itapata noma! Ama unafikiria anaskiza mix za demakufu???
Ukiwa kwa foreign airports especially connecting flights, the plane you will be travelling in will most likely be unique. So ukifika mapema you will clearly see it land and taxi up to your gate & you will note any activity. Hawa engineers wengi sijawai waona. But maybe the many engineers you are talking about huwa asubuhi kabla ndege ianze job but not on each and every flight the plane does during the day.
Flight controller must be someone kwa control tower. Am talking of a guy who is on the ground near the front wheel of the plane
Hiyo ndio kazi ya watu wengi, they go unnoticed! Take time and talk to the guy next to landing wheels or embarking stairs in a reflector jacket next to engines before it takes off again. Those are the hidden heroes you dont know. Mechanics wetu wa forward travellers na pinpoint sijui ni nani, if you know one msalimie;):)
Hawa wanapendanga homeboyz radio, sijui kwanini :D:D:D

pitisha chenye unavuta boss
Kq over pays their staff, and I don’t mean pilots and engineers because those can easily find jobs anywhere and Kq has to compete with other carriers for them.
But paying cabin crew entry salary of at least 100k ni mchezo.
Those are jobs that require only three months training, and in most countries they are done by girls who just cleared high school awaiting to join Uni. Not those mamas who have been with Kq for 30 years ata kusukuma trolley ni issue.
Again comparing their staff costs and employees per per plane with for example ET will clearly show something is a miss.
But we are much better off than Air Tanzania which has 270 staff per plane.
very true, i’ve had the opportunity to visit their hangars and see their SOPs. There is where the real job takes place, behind the scenes. wachana na pilot na air hostess those are just a tiny fraction of their workforce. A plane cannot take off without the engineers consent. plus all air crafts fly with an engineer on board. there’s alot that people don’t see
Yes. Kwa hangar hiyo nakubali coz at the left hand of JKIA runway I normally see lots of KQ planes. And Yes, kwa ndege there must be an engineer aboard. But @Touchlyrics was saying that each flight huwa na engineers kama 15 wakishugulika. Hiyo ndio nimekataa.
