Of Launching Season, Cecily Mbarire Vs Wambora.

Runyenjes MP, Cecily Mbarire, has accused Embu Governor, Martin Wamboro, of displaying political immaturity and uvi** after the governor allegedly sabotaged the opening of a newly constructed maternity building that was funded by Runyenjes CDF.

Mbarire arrived at the dispensary to open the building only to be informed that the governor had instructed personnel at the medical facility not to allow her into it no matter what.

Nie reke gwire, ndrama ensued as supporters of the legislator forced open the gates and after a brief scuffle they chased away the security personnel (ta mburukenge) who had earlier blocked Mbarire and her followers from entering into the premises.

The MP went ahead (completely armed with a brand new pair of scissors) to ceremoniously cut a ribbon to symbolize opening of the maternity ward and only peeping through the windows to inspect the facility, evaluate the workmanship and find out if Wambora was hiding there in as the building was locked.

Mbarire said it was disappointing for a county leader to try and personalize projects implemented through her Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at the expense of taking care of the peoples’ concerns.

She condemned the closure of the medical facility for a whole day saying that no amount of political rivalry could justify denying the electorate medical care.

Area MCA, Salesio Kimaru, Kenyatalk @Fala 12 ,Water Services Trust Fund Board of Trustee member, Geoffrey Ruku, County Assembly Clerk Jim Kauma, A prominent Nairobi based doctor @Luther12 and a host of other local leaders accompanied Mbarire during the occasion.

Nairobi, Nakuru, Embu, Kiambu seats will be heavily contested in the Jubilee nominations. That’s why the experience hands on officials have been sent there.

That lady is fireworks! Wamboro as he may call himself, has already lost the Governor’s seat to her. She is outgoing and likely to resuscitate the sleeping Embu.

Except that the people he mentions are ‘internal migrants’ in the sense that they moved to another part of the country for whatever reason. They embraced their NEW HOMES and left behind where they CAME FROM. Cecily is married AWAY from her ancestral home but always WANTS TO GO BACK there and compete. WHY HAS SHE NOT EMBRACED HER NEW HOME the way Junet or that Ndegwa in Lamu has?
