The ODM National Executive Council has endorsed the suspension of two lawmakers from party positions.
Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda, the Bondo branch secretary, was last month kicked out on allegations of gross misconduct and replaced by East Yimbo MCA Francis Otiato.
His Gem counterpart Elisha Odhiambo, who was the representative of the special interest group, also lost his position to Mr Osadho Odinga.
In letters addressed to the regional chairpersons of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), National Executive Director Oduor Ongwen asked the new officials to serve in the respective positions on an interim basis.
The lawmakers were suspended on grounds of being disloyal to the party that sponsored them to parliament.
Dr Oginga, the Siaya senator and Bondo branch ODM chair, had castigated the lawmakers for visiting State House last month against the wishes of party leader Raila Odinga.
He also rubbished claims that the nine Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party MPs had gone to follow up on the promises that the Head of State made to Nyanza residents when he visited the region.
