Corporate engagements. Team meetings with corporate heads. Diplomatic consultations. All pay a lot. If he even needs it. A US presidents life is set for good.
power hasn’t reduced, the power is GONE!! He’ll be as relevant as he wants to be, as he carries himself. Or as the people deem it fit, especially the people in his party. He has some influence but no power.
He’s also a private citizen now, he can become a millionaire or billionaire or go broke like Truman. Truman fell on hard times after retirement and was in fact the first U.S. president to be given a pension. So millions are not guaranteed for Obama, he will have to work for them. Abe Lincoln was also more or less poor.
But like others have said above if he plays on his celebrity status life will be sweet. Him and Michelle have a book deal worth 65 million for their autobiographies. They both have contracts with Netflix to produce movies and TV shows which could be worth tens of millions. They already have a current networth of 40 million dollars. Their speaking engagements could net them over 100 million dollars in a good year at least now when they are still hot property… so, maisha sio mbaya. Obama could even become leader of the world bank, his wife could very well run for the big seat one day…
He must be bored to death because presidency is a job that is very demanding.
